Where is Starry Moon Beauty based?

Why do I need to enter my card details to book online or to confirm the appointment?

When you are booking an appointment you will need to enter your bank card details in order to secure booking. Your appointment is NOT confirmed until you confirm it with your bank card.
Your card details are secure and not visible to anyone. 
Your card will only be charged in case of a late cancelation /  reschedule, no-show or if you decide to use it as payment method at the appointment.

Why my call or message is not being answered?

We do not answer calls or messages during appointments. It is the best that you send your enquiry with time, date and type of treatment that you are interested in via text/WhatsApp, email or social media message. We will get back to you as soon as possible. As there is no receptionist, we prioritise a person that is in the salon getting their treatment done.

Booking online is available. Phone calls and messages will not be answered after business/ late hours, they will be answered on next business day or during designated admin hours.

We kindly ask for your patience and understanding.

Do you do house calls?

No, house calls are not available.

Can I add more treatments on the day?

It depends how busy it is on a particular day. However, we do recommend booking all extras in advance to avoid disappointment.

Are there nail care products for sale at the salon?

Yes, there is a variety of different nail and hand, SPA products available for sale during your appointment or you can also order them online and collect from the salon.

How can I pay for my treatment?

You can pay by cash or card.
If you are paying by cash please have an exact amount or small notes as change may not always be available.

What is your appointment cancelation and reschedule policy?

​Cancelations and reschedule

If you cancel or reschedule in less than 24 hours before the appointment you will be charged a cancelation fee, which is 50% of the appointment value.

Failure to pay this fee will result in no further appointments booked and all prebooked future appointments canceled until the fee is paid.

*It is hard to fill the appointment with less than 24h notice. But if we will be able to fill in the appointment on short notice - the fee will be waived.


No-shows

If you do not show up to your appointment without notice, the fee equal to 100% of your appointment value will be charged.

Failure to pay this fee will result in no further appointments booked and all prebooked future appointments cancelled until the fee is paid.


[When you don't show up - no one else gets to use that time as it is too short of a notice for clients on cancelation list. Fee also protects our income.]

*We reserve a right to require a booking fee at any time. 

Booking fee can be transferred if appointment is rescheduled in more than 24 hours prior appointment. Booking fee can be rolled over maximum 2 times in a row. On 3rd consecutive reschedule a new fee will be charged.

F.A.Q. Piercings

What piercings can I get at Starry Moon Beauty?

Ear lobe and cartilage, facial, oral and body piercings. (please see pricelist for more detailed list)

What is the minimum age for piercings?

Age limits:

Ear lobes minimum age is 10 years old.

Ear cartilage: Helix, Tragus minimum age 12 years old.

All other ear cartilage, facial, oral, body piercings minimum age 14 years old.

!Exception for tongue, webb, dermal, nape, bridge and rhino piercings strictly over 18 years old ONLY.

All under 16 year olds MUST be accompanied by a parent/ legal guardian to the appointment. Parent/ legal guardian must sign a consent form.

IDs are required for all attendees for proof of age and relationship where applies.

Original IDs only - no copies accepted. No ID - no piercing!

What documents are accepted for ID?

Accepted forms of ID: passport, ID card, Garda age card, birth certificate (for those under 16), driver licence.

Do you use a piercing gun?

No I do not use a piercing gun. I only use sterile needles for piercing which are far more hygienic, safer and less painful.

Is jewellery included?

Yes, basic jewellery is included in the piercing price. You can choose between stainless steel Caflon studs, surgical steel jewellery and titanium jewellery. Multigem and fashion jewellery is available for extra fee.

Can I purchase aftercare in the salon?

Yes, you can. There is aftercare available to buy in the salon.

Can I get my piercing jewellery changed at Starry Moon Beauty?

Yes, jewellery change is available at the salon. €5 per piercing with basic jewellery included, you can also purchase fashion piercing jewellery for extra fee if you wish.

What if I accidentally lost or pulled out my piercing and can't put it back in?

First, do not panic and if you have recovered the jewellery disinfect it with alcohol based disinfectant, then try gently put it back in. If still no luck or if you lost the jewellery, please contact us and we will try to fit you in as soon as possible.

My piercing area is very painful, looks very swollen and red, there is discharge coming out of piercing area, my piercing have bumps around the jewellery. What to do?

Please contact us as soon as you notice any of the conditions mentioned above. When contacting please give us as much detail as possible and if you can also include a picture of affected area. You may need to come in for further assessment or you may be referred to the GP if necessary.
